The Faculty of Arts and Design is particularly keen on linking the educational process with the requirements of the labor market, field visits, and academic trips. Accordingly, and under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hana Yassin, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design, and supervision of Prof. Dr. Nahla El Deeb, Acting Head of the Fashion Design Department, and Acting Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Marwa Issa, Lecturer, the Faculty’s Fashion Design Department organized an academic trip to the “Stitch and Tex 2022” Exhibition, held at the Exhibition Center in Nasr City.

This Exhibition, in its 14th edition, is seen as the major commercial event for the textile and garments industry in the Middle East and Africa. An extensive value chain of textiles, garments, printing, embroidery and finishing were all brought together under one roof through this mega exhibition. Further, students of the various course have significantly benefited from such experiment.
