Tapped Density Tester


Tapped Density Tester provides a standardized and repeatable procedure for measuring the tapped or packed volumes of powders, as well as granulated or flaked materials. The tester is equipped as standard with a 250ml glass graduated cylinders and holders. The test parameter is a fixed drop of 3mm, at 250 drops/min to comply with the relevant pharmacopeia.

Flow ability Tester


Flow ability tester is used for measuring the Flow properties of powders using standard orifice diameters. flow ability of powder can be judged according to the following:

  • Diameter of the smallest orifice that passes the powder successfully.
  • The rate of powder flow.
  • Time in which a known sample weight passes the orifice.

The flow ability tester is equipped with the Angle of repose attachment.

Shaker Vibratory Sieve


The analytical sieve shaker is used for practical size analysis. Due to the presence of 14 USP standard sieves (45µm – 4mm), it has many applications in research and quality control of raw materials. it is suitable for both dry and wet sieving of free-flowing, dispersed products where the input product exhibits grain size of up to maximum of 25 mm.

V-Shape  Mixer


The V-shaped mixer is used to perform blending studies on different powders. Due to its capacity (0.5Kg), the V-shaped mixer can determine the preliminary mixing conditions as blending speed and blending time for pilot batches. Also, the V-shaped mixer may be used in validation of mixing parameters of powders.

Wet Granulator 


The main application of the Wet granulator is the conversion of the wet mass-produced during powder granulation into granules of uniform size distribution. The presence of more than one mesh size (710µm, 1mm and 1.4mm) enables the user to obtain the desired granules size distribution.

Dry Granulator


The Dry granulator is used to crush slugs and chilsonator sheets into granules for further processing.



The pelletizer is used for the production of pharmaceutical pellets. The material to be processed is fed manually or with a metering device, the machine rotates in a clocking wise direction with a speed range of (0 to 410 RPM). A minimum of 0.5Kg is required for work.

Tablet Coating pan

-This apparatus is used in all types of coatings including film coating, sugar coating and enteric coating.
-Being non-perforated, the pan is suitable for coating different dosage forms such as granules, pellets tablets and capsules.
-It is equipped with an IR lamp to facilitate core drying and it is suitable for coating small quantities by controlling the pan speed and drying conditions.

Tablet Friability Abrasion Tester


Copley Friability Abrasion tester is used to determine the friability and abrasion of tablets. This test is important to determine the durability of tablets to further processing steps (e.g. coating and blistering). The apparatus is rotated at a fixed speed of 25rpm. The researcher can adjust the time or number of rotations according to his needs.

Tablet Hardness Tester


The hardness tester is used to test the tablet hardness. The force required to break the tablets can be measured in Newton, Kilopond, Strong Cobs or Pounds Apothecary.

Disintegration Tester


The Disintegration tester is used for the determination of the disintegration time of uncoated tablets, coated tablets, pills, capsules, granules or enteric coated preparations according to the experimental conditions prescribed in the European and United states pharmacopoeia. However, it is not applied for preparations exceeding 20 mm in diameter, for sustained release preparations, or for preparations which are subject to the dissolution test.

Dissolution Tester


  • More than one USP official apparatus are available:
    • USP Apparatus 1 (basket) and USP Apparatus 2 (paddle), known to be the mostly used in most of the official dissolution apparatus in many pharmacopoeia.
    • USP Apparatus 5, used to study the release from transdermal patches.
  • Specifically designed suppository baskets are available to study drug release from suppositories.
  • Small samples dissolution set is available for dissolution medium volume ranging from 50 – 150mL.
  • Drug release and diffusion studies from semi-solid preparations such as creams, ointments and gels can be performed using the ointment cell attachment.

Suppository Disintegration Tester


The suppository disintegration tester can be used to determine the disintegration time of the suppository. It can also be used, under defined conditions, to determine the softening point of the suppository.

Projection Microscope 


Projection microscope is equipped with a camera and software to allow capturing images of the sample under test directly on the computer. It is of special importance during studying histology of biological tissues.

Projection Microscope is also equipped with a screen and ruler for measuring the dimensions of the projected sample. This feature makes the projection microscope valuable in particle size analysis studies.

Rotational Viscometer


  • It is mainly used for viscosity determination of solutions, tooth pastes, creams, ointments, gums, inks, oils and dairy products with a wide viscosity range of 100 – 40 million Centipoises using different spindles (RV-2 – RV-7).
  • For limited sample volumes (2 – 16mL), a small adaptor equipped with spindle CS4-15 allowing viscosity readings (250-5 million Centipoises) is available.
  • For low viscosity materials (Newtonian and non-Newtonian), an UL adaptor is provided with a cylindrical spindle allowing readings of 3 – 2,000 Centipoise.
  • For paste-like materials and those exhibiting pseudo plastic and thixotropic behaviors, a spiral adaptor is available with 2 spindles measuring viscosities up to 1.1 million Centipoises.



IKA homogenizer is a variable speed homogenizer in the range of 3,500 – 24,000 rpm. It can be used for:

Infrared Moisture Balance


The infrared moisture balance determines the moisture and solid component content (%) of samples by using infrared light to heat and dry samples and then measuring the weight change due to evaporation. Samples of any weight between 5 to 70 gm are allowed and the ease of use makes it possible for anyone to make accurate measurements.

  Digital Shaking Water Bath
