Pharos University in Alexandria announces undergraduate admission open for international students in all faculties for the academic year 2021/2022. Admission and Registration processes start at June 2021 till the end of September 2021

Admission Dates:

  • Admission is open for the 1st semester of the academic year 2021/2022 from June 2021 till 31st September 2021
  • Admission is open for the 2nd semester of the academic year 2021/2022 from 15/12/2021 .

Enrollment process:

  • The student should be non-Egyptian (foreign student).
  • The student could apply to Pharos University through the following:
    1. E-mail address: International.Students@pua.edu.eg
    2. Visiting the International Students Registration Office at Pharos University.
  • The student should be a holder of secondary school certificate or its equivalent.
  • The student should submit all the required documents for admission.

Required documents for online registration:

  • A copy of the secondary school certificate or its equivalent.
  • A copy of birth certificate.
  • A copy of a valid passport.

Required documents for registration at the International Students Registration Office:

  • Original secondary school certificate or its equivalent, accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country from which the student receives his/ her certificate, the Egyptian Embassy and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Original birth certificate, accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where the student was born, the Egyptian Embassy and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • A copy of a valid passport.
  • 8 passport-size recent photos.
  • Result of the aptitude test for the countries that run this kind of test.
  1. Arabian Secondary School Certificates:
  • Original secondary school certificate accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country that issued it, the Egyptian Embassy there, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt.
  • Original birth certificate accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where the student was born, the Egyptian Embassy there, in addition to the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Copies of the passports of the student and his/her guardian.
  • (6) passport-size photos.
  1. Secondary School Certificates from Palestine:
  • Original secondary school certificate accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Palestine, the Egyptian Embassy there, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt.
  • Original birth certificate accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Palestine, the Egyptian Embassy there and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt.
  • An official letter from the Palestinian Consulate in Alexandria, stating approval of the enrollment of the student at Pharos University and mentioning the name of the faculty he/she wants to apply for. (A prerequisite for Palestinian students).
  • Copies of the passports of the student and his/her guardian.
  • (6) passport-size photos.
  1. Secondary School Certificates from Libya:
  • Original secondary school certificate accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Libya, the Libyan Consulate in Alexandria and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Original birth certificate accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Libya, the Libyan Consulate in Alexandria and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • An official letter from the Libyan Consulate in Alexandria, stating approval of the enrollment of the student at Pharos University and mentioning the name of the faculty that he/she want to apply for. (A prerequisite for Libyan students).
  • Copies of the passports of the student and his/her guardian.
  • (6) passport-size photos.
  1. Secondary School Certificates from Kuwait:
  • Original secondary school certificate accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kuwait, the Egyptian Embassy there, the Kuwait Cultural Office in Cairo or Alexandria and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Original birth certificate accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kuwait, the Egyptian Embassy there, the Kuwait Cultural Office in Cairo or Alexandria and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • An official letter from the Consulate of Kuwait in Alexandria, stating approval of the enrollment of the student at Pharos University (a prerequisite for Kuwaiti students).
  • Achieving 79% in secondary school as a minimum grade for admission (a prerequisite for Kuwaiti students).
  • The student should NOT have got his/her secondary school certificate before more than TWO years (a prerequisite for Kuwaiti students). This is in accordance with the regulations set by the Embassy of Kuwait for the enrollment of Kuwaiti students at Egyptian universities.
  • Copies of the passports of the student and his/her guardian.
  • (6) passport-size photos.
  1. Secondary School Certificates from KSA:
  • Original general secondary school certificate (second and third years), the semester-based secondary school certificate (شهادة الثانوية الفصلية) or the curricula-based secondary school certificate ((شهادة الثانوية نظام المقررات accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Embassy of Egypt in KSA, the Saudi Embassy in Egypt and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • A certificate of the Aptitude Test.
  • Original birth certificate accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country that issued it, the Egyptian Embassy there and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt.
  • Copies of the passports of the student and his/her guardian.
  • (6) passport-size photos.
  • An official letter from the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Cairo, stating approval of the enrollment of the student at Pharos University (a prerequisite for Saudi students).
  1. Secondary School Certificates from Jordan:
  • Original secondary school certificate accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jordan, the Embassy of Egypt there, the Embassy of Jordan in Cairo and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Original birth certificate accredited from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jordan, the Egyptian Embassy in it, the Embassy of Jordan in Cairo and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt.
  • An official letter from the Embassy of Jordan in Cairo, stating approval of the enrollment of the student at Pharos University (a prerequisite for Jordanian students).
  • Achieving the minimum grade for admission as set by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (a prerequisite for Jordanian students).
  • Copies of the passports of the student and his/her guardian.
  • (6) passport-size photos.
  1. American Diploma:
  • Original certificate of SAT accredited by the Amideast and the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Original certificate of Grade accredited by the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA) and the Egyptian Cultural Attaché in Washington.
  • Original preparatory school certificate.
  • Original birth certificate.
  • 6 passport-size photos.
  • Military Service Form (Namouzag 2 Gond), for Egyptian male students only.
  • A copy of the student’s passport, for international students only.
  • Username and Password of student’s online account in College Board website (for SAT scores).

 

  1. G.C.S.E:
  • Original I.G.C.S.E accredited by the British Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Original preparatory school certificate.
  • Original birth certificate.
  • 6 passport-size photos.
  • Military Service Form (Namouzag 2 Gond), for Egyptian male students only.
  • A copy of the student’s passport, for international students only.

Below are the enrollment terms for the students who live in African counties and get secondary school certificates accredited by the Ministry of Education in these countries:

  • Enrollment terms for the students of the African secondary school certificates are the same as the students of the Egyptian General secondary school certificate (Thanaweya Aama), with its three divisions.
  • Passing the mandatory qualifying subjects and abiding by the enrollment terms for the faculty they are applying for.
  • The holders of the Nigerian secondary school certificate SHOULD submit the admission required documents with the username and password of the student’s online account in WAECDIRECT or NECO Results websites.
  • Only the students who got a Sudanese secondary school certificate issued from the Republic of Sudan will be accepted for enrollment at Pharos University.

  • Original secondary school certificate accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country that issued it, the Embassy of Egypt there and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt.
  • Original birth certificate accredited from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where the student was born, the Embassy of Egypt there and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt.
  • Copies of the passports of the student and his/her guardian.
  • (6) passport-size photos.
  • An official letter from the Embassy of the African country, stating approval of the enrollment of the student at Pharos University.

They should abide by the enrollment terms of their certificates (Egyptian general, Arabian, Foreign or African secondary school certificates), in addition to those of the transfer students.

  1. An official transcript of the student’s grades issued by the previous faculty and accredited by the Ministries of Higher Education and Foreign Affairs of the country of the previous faculty, the Egyptian Embassy there and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt.
  2. Original course description stamped by the previous university

They should abide by the enrollment terms of their certificates (Egyptian general, Arabian, Foreign or African secondary school certificates), in addition to those of the transfer students.
