- creating a stimulating environment for exchanging knowledge and experience of teaching and learning;
- providing an opportunity for teachers from different backgrounds to meet and share classroom experiences;

Workshops:
- Number of approved workshops: around 14
- Each attendee will attend two different workshops, each lasting for 45 minutes. There will be 7 workshops running at the same time, followed by seven other workshops, so each attendee will attend 1 hour and a half in the “workshops” section.

Abstract Submission
Interested candidates are invited to submit their abstracts and participate in PUA 3rd International ELT Symposium. It is required to submit a 3-minute video presentation of the abstract. Deadline for submitting your abstract is June 2nd, 2019.

Duration of workshops: 45 minutes with hands-on practical teaching ideas
PUA 2nd International ELT Symposium 2017
Pharos University in Alexandria 2nd International ELT Symposium was held on September 16 th 2017. The symposium hosted 300 language teachers and international speakers. There were also specialised speakers who conducted a number of workshops in topics related to Innovation in Education. This symposium is an excellent forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas, experiences, opinions and research results relating to learning and teaching. Pharos University (PUA) 1st International ELT Symposium
Pharos University in Alexandria held its 1st international English Language Teaching symposium on Saturday September 3rd in Mr Mohamed Ragab auditorium hall. The symposium hosted 300 language teachers and international speakers from NILE, Pearson and Cambridge. There were also specialised speakers who conducted a number of workshops in topics related to effective teaching. The event was the first of its kind in Alexandria and the university.
