Guidelines for applying for accreditation in the academic year 2024/2025 according to the revised standards for institutional and programmatic accreditation, and also to address inquiries from directors of quality assurance centers.
The National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation held a virtual meeting to announce the guidelines for applying for accreditation in the academic year 2024/2025, according to the revised standards for institutional and programmatic accreditation. The meeting also addressed inquiries from directors of quality assurance centers and responded to questions from all Egyptian universities, including public, private, and national universities. Additionally, the meeting clarified the deadlines for accreditation applications and the associated fees.

Rules and guidelines for applying for accreditation in the academic year 2024/2025
Discussions revolved around the procedures for submitting various types of higher education institutions and programs for accreditation to the Authority, which were approved by the Authority’s Board of Directors at its last meeting in line with international standards and best practices in the field of quality assurance and accreditation, which were as follows:
- The academic year 2024/2025 will be a transitional period until the implementation of the new version of the Institutional and Programmatic Accreditation Standards, 2024 edition, which will be announced on the Authority’s website.
- Institutional accreditation is limited to assessing institutional capacity and managing the educational, research and community process, and undergraduate programs are evaluated through programmatic accreditation standards.

A ceremony honoring the presidents of Egyptian universities for obtaining accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation
Dr. Ahmed Allam, Director of the Quality Assurance Center, and his deputy, Dr. Faika Ibrahim Hassanein, on behalf of Prof. Mahmoud Mohi El-Din, President of Pharos University in Alexandria, received the honorary trophy of Pharos University from the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation, and Prof. Dr. Yohansen Eid handed over the trophies and certificates to the universities participating in the forum.
It is worth noting that Pharos University in Alexandria established twelve faculties and Faculty of Pharmacy was accredited in 2016 and the accreditation was renewed in 2021 for 5 years more . both faculties of Engineering and Tourism & Hotel Management were accredited in 2018, then the faculty of Dentistry in 2019, and finally the faculty of Financial and Administrative Sciences in 2022, the latter was internationally accredited by the University of Ireland TU Dublin following local approval.
It is also worth noting that the Quality Assurance Center always seeks to qualify the rest of the university’s faculties to be accredited by NAQAAE, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nourhan Fanaki Vice-President for Education and Student Affairs, and Supervisor of Quality Assurance Center

A simulation visit was done by the Quality Assurance Center of the University.under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Nourhan Fanaki, the Vice President of the University. The visit occurred during three days, from Tuesday to Thursday, 24-26 October 2023.
Throughout the visit, the committee held numerous meetings and thoroughly reviewed various documents. As a result, the faculty staff members under the supervision of the dean were highly commended for their diligent efforts and precision in the preparation.
