Welcome from the Dean
Dear students,
I am pleased to welcome you to the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology at Pharos University, this pioneering faculty that grants a bachelor’s degree in various specializations of applied health sciences technology.
Since its first day of classes in the academic year of 2009/2010, the faculty has been keen to adopt systematic strategic plans aligned with global quality standards, aiming for advanced levels in education and scientific research within modern health sciences, in line with the objectives of Egypt’s Vision 2030 and the sustainable health development goals.
Our journey takes place within the framework of the vision and mission of Pharos University, as we work to provide high level academic programs combining theoretical study with practical applications, aiming to prepare distinguished graduates in vital health specializations needed by the job market.
The faculty offers six specialized academic programs, including: Medical Laboratory Technology, Radiology and Medical Imaging Technology, Biomedical Equipment Technology, Nutrition and Food Safety Technology, Dental Prostheses Manufacture Technology, and Critical Care and Anesthesia Technology. These programs aim to graduate qualified and competitive professionals capable of meeting the needs of the healthcare job market in Egypt as well as Arab and foreign countries.
The faculty places utmost importance on providing comprehensive education that focuses on practical training in our high-tech laboratories. Furthermore, our students have the opportunity for field training in various hospitals and centers within an institutional framework that bridges theoretical knowledge with practical application, thereby refining their practical and professional capabilities.
To fulfill the ambitions of our students and enhance the journey of scientific research and knowledge, we are proud to offer postgraduate programs consisting of diplomas and master’s degrees in the departments of Medical Laboratory Technology and Radiology and Medical Imaging Technology. The importance of these programs lies in preparing our qualified graduates to develop advanced healthcare practices and opening broader horizons for them to obtain advanced academic degrees that qualify them to compete in local, regionally and global health-care job markets.

The Minister of Higher Education issued a ministerial decree number(193) dated (29-7-2012) certifying the equivalence of the Bachelor degree granted from the faculty of Allied Medical Sciences with the Bachelor degree granted by Egyptian universities governed by the Universities Organizational Law number 49 for the year 1972 .
The Egyptian Ministry of Health issued a decree entitling the graduates of the faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Pharos University to an equal status with their counterparts in the faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology in equivalent universities in terms of granting professional licensure or job description.
