Dr. Tamer Elsawy is an assistant professor at the College of Tourism and Hotel Management at Pharos University in Alexandria. He has obtained a Master's and a PhD in tourism planning and development from the University of Alexandria, Egypt. Besides his academic experience of about ten years, he has also served earlier as an Assistant Manager for eight years at F.S Hotels in Egypt and Azerbaijan, which allowed him to gain a wealth of experience in hospitality and skills in dealing with different cultures.

He is currently the head of various committees at his college, including academic advising, international relations, and marketing. Besides, he is the editor-in-chief of the Pharos International Journal of Tourism and Hospitality (PIJTH), the head of the exam control committee for the senior level, a member of the international ranking committee at Pharos University, a member of the measurement and assessment center at Pharos University, and a trainer at the Education Development Center (EDC). I am a highly motivated and dedicated Lecturer and Trainer in the field of Hotel and Restaurant Management Sciences.
