Dr. Hoda Salem is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Languages and Translation – English Department – Pharos university. Teaching includes courses of literature, civilization and literary translation. Dr. Salem is the general academic advisor and the head of second year control, in addition to being Post Graduate Studies Coordinator. She is also a trainer at the Career Development centre.

Worked at Alexandria University for most of her professional career. Also worked with USAID on several education projects in cooperation with the Ministry of Education in Egypt. She was the Director of the English Studies Division at the American University in Cairo and until recently she was the Director of the Nile Egyptian Schools project which is in partnership with Cambridge International Examinations CIE. She has played the leadership role in several high level projects in Egypt like developing education standards, developing and implementing the first Egyptian standardized tests for teacher placement in the Egyptian Teachers’ Cadre and leading the development of the first Egyptian standards-based textbook to introduce the teaching of English to young learners. She has worked as a consultant with English Testing Services ETS in Princeton and for the Commission for Academic Accreditation in the Emirates. Nadia has also widely published her research and has co-authored a variety of books on English language teacher training, curricula and testing.

I obtained a Bachelor of Arts “exceptional grade” with honors from the Faculty of Arts Spanish Language Department at Cairo University. I have homologated my bachelor’s degree in Spanish language at the University of Complutense in Madrid. I have received a master’s degree from the same university in Madrid, Spain, in the Faculty of Spanish Philology, entitled “Human Rights in the Poetry of Federico Garcia Lorca” with honors. I obtained a PHD in Spanish Philology from the University of Complutense in Madrid with a distinction of honor with honors, entitled “Surrealism in the poetry of Federico García Lorca” and became a general specialist in contemporary Spanish literature, and meticulous specialization Spanish contemporary poetry.
I have been teaching Arabic to non-native speakers during my PhD in Madrid from 2009 to 2016 at the Arab House of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in addition to teaching Spanish to Egyptians and Arabs. I am fluent in both the following languages: English, French and Spanish.

Dr. Silvia Elias is lecturer at Faculty of Languages & Translation, PUA (English Dept.) Her major is American Drama. She has published a number of papers in reputable universities and presented in prestigious conferences. Her teaching experience includes teaching both English and American Literature (Fiction & Drama), Comparative Literature, Criticism & Critical Theories, Cinema and Adaptations. Dr. Sandra MAGDY is a lecturer in the Faculty of Languages and Translation – French Department – Pharos university since year 2006.
