The Art of Decoupage

Within the framework of PUA’s student activities programs, the Faculty of Arts and Design organized a workshop entitled “The Art of Decoupage”. It was delivered by Dr. Shereen Mokhtar, lecturer in the Photography Department.

The workshop began with the definition the art of Decoupage, which is the method of using and recycling old paper to produce artistic designs from old pieces of furniture, pots, boxes, dishes, vases, lamps, or mirrors.

This art can be used on various types of surfaces such as wood, glass, metal, pottery, etc. The final image then appears with an artistic and handicraft-like design.
