Under the auspices of Prof. Hana Yassen, the Dean of the faculty of Arts and Design, a seminar entitled “Metaphor: a Creative Stimulus in Designing Interior Architecture” was organized on Tuesday, 3 March 2020 in room (B-532).                                 The seminar was delivered by Dr. Amira Hamdy, a Lecturer in the Décor Department. It is worth mentioning that the seminar aimed to introduce the students to the types of structural designs of architectural buildings and the most innovative ideas employed in the realm of interior architecture. The seminar addressed many topics, including the following:

  • The concept of metaphor that is considered the highest degree of analogy which is a process of finding a natural/ artificial source to transfer idea to project.
  • Why do we use metaphor?
