Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) has participated in the 15^th General Conference of the Association of African Universities that held virtually from 5-8 July 2021.and is being hosted under the theme “The Future of African Higher Education in Africa”. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, had a speech and participated on Monday 5th of July in the 15^th Conference of African University Leaders, organized by the Federation of African Universities via video conferencing technology.

At the beginning of his speech, the Minister expressed his happiness to participate in the conference held under the patronage of the Ghanaian President, pointing out the importance of working to bring about a qualitative move in higher education in Africa, to promote social and economic growth, by creating a better environment for higher education and scientific research and building modern systems of science, technology and innovation.

The coordinator of African relations of PUA, Dr. Nourhan Al-Haridi, participated in the various sessions of the conference activities as a representative of the university, based on the support of Pharos University in Alexandria and its role in developing and raising the efficiency of higher education and scientific research in Africa.
