The Petrochemical Engineering Department at PUA’s Faculty of Engineering congratulated its distinguished students for receiving sponsorship for 4 graduation projects through the Engineering Graduation Projects Support (EGPS) of the Alexandria Engineers Syndicate for the year 2022-2023.

The first project, entitled “Green Approach and Safer Alternatives to Toxic Flame Retardants for Polyurethane Foams”, was awarded EGP 36,000. While the second project, entitled “An Innovative Method for Preparing an Environmentally Friendly Thermal Stabilizer for Polyvinyl Chloride Using Expandable Graphite and Zinc-Calcium Stearate,” received an amount of EGP 35,200.

Meanwhile, the team for the third project, entitled “Using sugar beet slurry residues produced by sugar companies in the production of biofuels,” received an amount of 16,500 Egyptian pounds. And last but not least, the team for the fourth project entitled “Environmentally Intelligent Coating to Enhance Corrosion Resistance Using Photocatalytic Use of Steel” was awarded EGP 5,000.
