5th year students of PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy launched an awareness campaign for the workers and students of PUA’s various faculties about the dangers of poisoning from caustic disinfectants and household cleaners.

This campaign was part of a graduation project in the Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice Department. The students explained and distributed flyers to raise awareness of the causes and symptoms of household detergent poisoning, how to use them safely, and the correct first aids.

In addition, the students raised awareness about the importance of going to the Alexandria Poison Center at Raml Station in emergency cases. The awareness leaflet distributed by the students contained the QR code of the center’s official page, through which the center can be contacted in case of inquiries.
