Under the auspices of Prof. Ezzat Hassan, the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology, an online symposium was organized entitled “The Risks of Anesthesia between Reality and Illusion” using Zoom application. this was held on Thursday, 17 December 2020. The symposium was delivered by Dr. Enas Abd Elmoneim and Dr. Mohamed Ali Dabis, Lectures in the Critical Care and Anesthesia Technology Department. The symposium discussed the risks of anesthesia to which the patient or medical staff may be exposed. Moreover, different potential problems were also presented and discussed by the attendees, how to avoid them, finding appropriate solutions and see the true scale of these risks to make society aware of them on sound scientific grounds. It is worth mentioning that this symposium was managed under the supervision of Dr. Esraa Monir, a Lecturer in the Medical Laboratory Technology Department and the Leader of Student Activities in the faculty. The symposium was attended by a number of students who asked a lot of questions and gave their opinions about the topics discussed.
