Prof. Dr. Maged El-Ghazouly currently works as the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Drug manufacturing and Professor in the Pharmacognosy Department, Pharos University in Alexandria, since 2010.

1. Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy – Beirut Arab University from 09.01.2005 till 01.09.2008.

12. He earned a master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmacognosy) from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Alexandria on 25, March 26, 1973, and was appointed an Assistant Lecturer, Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy – Alexandria University as of October 1973.
13. He earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the Faculty of Pharmacy – University of Alexandria in June 1969 with very good grade of honor, and was appointed a Demonstrator at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacognosy – Alexandria University starting from 12.06.1969.

– Dr Yosra S.R. Elnaggar is currently an Associate professor at Faculty of Pharmacy and drug manufacturing; Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) – She got her Bachelor degree in Pharmaceutical science in 2004 from Faculty of pharmacy Alexandria University. She got her Master of Pharmaceutical Science (M.SC.) Degree in Pharmaceutics in July 2007 from Faculty of Pharmacy Alexandria University. She got her Philosophy in Doctor degree PhD in pharmaceutics August 2010 from Alexandria University. She became associate professor since December 2015.
– She received 14 awards for international publication since 2009 to 2016. She earned Alexandria University Award for Scientific Motivation for the year 2015.

– She worked as head of central research laboratory in faculty of Pharmacy Alexandria University (fall 2013). Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Dr. Ming Ming Wen has obtained her B.S. in Pharmacy from Taipei Medical University in Taiwan. She continued a graduate study in Master Degree in Health Administration from Indiana University, Indiana, USA. Then she received her 2nd Master Degree in Clinical Pharmacy from St. Johns University, New York, USA. After coming to Egypt, Dr. Ming Ming Wen received a Ph.D. Degree in Pharmaceutics from University of Alexandria in Egypt. Her passion on the diversity of pharmacy profession lends her a position of post-doctor training in Bioinformatics in National Beijing Genomic Research Institute in Beijing, China. She is currently serving as a faculty member in the Dept. of Pharmaceutics, Faculty of Pharmacy at Pharos University in Alexandria, Egypt. She is also the manager of Clinical Pharmacy & Pharmacy Practice Unit and the director of pharmacy student summer field training.

Heba Hazzah is currently a Lecturer of pharmaceutics, Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA).
She earned her PhD Degree in Pharmaceutics Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University. Thesis entitled “Targeted drug delivery systems as efficient approach for treatment of some oral and maxillofacial diseases.
She earned her Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutics Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University. Thesis entitled development and evaluation of some mutli-particulate drug delivery systems.

Dr. Wessam Magdi El-Refaie, graduated at Faculty of Pharmacy Alexandria University on June 2006. I worked as a hospital pharmacist at El-Salama hospital July 2006- December 2006.
I have joined PUA as a demonstrator on January 2007 and have got my Msc degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutics) at Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University on January 2011. Since then and till February 2015, I worked as Assistant lecturer at the Pharmaceutics department- Faculty of Pharmacy- PUA university.
I have got my PhD degree in Pharmaceutical sciences (Pharmaceutics) at Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University on February 2015. Since then and till now working as a Lecturer in the Pharmaceutics department- Faculty of Pharmacy- PUA.

Dr. Noha Soliman El-Salamouni, Ph.D, is currently a Pharmaceutics lecturer in Faculty of Pharmacy and Drug Manufacturing, Pharos University in Alexandria, Egypt.
She has received her Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutics), in April, 2015 from Pharmaceutics department, Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University. Ph.D thesis title was; “Study on Some Novel Ocular Drug Delivery Systems”.
In 2011, Dr. Noha received her Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutics) from Pharmaceutics department, Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University. Master’s thesis title was; “Formulation and Characterization of Bioadhesive Polymeric Drug Delivery Systems”.

Amira Hanafy graduated from Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University, in 2008. She completed her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University, in 2013 and 2015, respectively. She is currently a Pharmaceutics lecturer in Faculty of Pharmacy & Drug Manufacturing, PUA. Her teaching interests have been fostered by several years of undergraduate teaching. For seven years, she has taught tutorials and laboratory sections of several pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical technology, pharmacy ethics, and chemistry courses. As a lecturer, she has been teaching Physical Pharmacy, Community Pharmacy, Industrial QC and GMP, and Unit Operation courses

Dr. Basant Abou-Taleb is currently a Lecturer in the Pharmaceutics Department in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Drug Manufacturing, Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) – And she got her Ph.D. Degree in Pharmaceutics Department, Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University with philosophy grade. Prof. Dr. Rim Haggag is currently a Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacyand Drug Manufacturing, Pharos Universityin Alexandria, Egypt.
Dr. Haggag obtained her BSc in 1996 and her PhD in Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry in 2002 from Alexandria University, Egypt.She has taught Analytical and Pharmaceutical Chemistry courses to pharmacy students in Alexandria, Damanhour and Pharos Universities, and to clinical pharmacy students at Alexandria University, including qualitative and quantitative analysis of organic and inorganic compounds and instrumental methods of analysis. He got his B. Sc. Degree in Chemistry, from the Chemistry Department, Faculty of Science, Alexandria University 1990.

In addition to his academic work for six years in PUA, he worked as General Academic Advisor for 4 years, supervisor for registration in the faculty of pharmacy, member of the faculty council for 4 years, member of the complain committee of the faculty and the university for 3 years, supervision of the committee of transferring students in the faculty, member of the sports committee and the electronic teaching in the faculty. In the mean time he teached number of lectures and workshops for the Education development Center (EDC) as Credit hour system, Orientation to PUA staff members, Self Development and The Power of Positive Thinking. He participate in the organization of the 1st PUA conference in the Advances in pharmaceutics as the head of the local arrangement and registration committee.

He is member of the Egyptian Corrosion Society. He attend many conferences national and international in the field of
corrosion and electrochemistry.

Sameh Elsayed Younis is a lecturer in the pharmaceutical chemistry Department in the Faculty of pharmacy and drug manufacturing, Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA).

He got his Ph.D. Degree in pharmaceutical analytical chemistry, Faculty of pharmacy, Alexandria University, 2017; under the title of “DEVELOPMENT OF NEW ANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES FOR ESTIMATION OF SOME HETEROCYCLIC COMPOUNDS OF PHARMACEUTICAL INETREST”.

He got his Master of Science (M.SC.) Degree in pharmaceutical analytical chemistry Department, Faculty of pharmacy, Alexandria University; under the title of “ANALYSIS OF CERTAIN ESTERS AND AMIDES OF PHARMACEUTICAL INETEREST”.

He got his B.SC. Degree in faculty of pharmacy, Alexandria University; with grade excellent with honor degree. He also attended and successfully completed some workshops in the education development center in the last 7 years. Dr. Karin Magdi Guirguis is currently a Lecturer in the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Drug Manufacturing, Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA). And she got her PhD Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmaceutical Analytical Chemistry), Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University. Her PhD thesis title was “Estimation of Some Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients Used for Their Anti-inflammatory or Muscle Relaxant Activity”.

– Professor Dr. Taha Mostafa Sarg is now the Head of Pharmacognosy and Medicinal Plants Department, Faculty of Pharmacy and Drug Manucature, Pharos University in Alexandria (P.U.A) since September 2011 till now.

– He had his high school degree from Benha, Secondary school, Benha, Qualyobia, Egypt 1956 and B.SC degree in Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Cairo University on May 1960 with grade very good, honour degree.

– He started his career as Demonstrator in Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University on Oct. 1960 and had his Master Degree on Dec. 1965 and my Ph.D on April 1969.

– He worked as Lecturer up to Sep. 1972 and travelled to work as Assistant Professor of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy ،Riyadh University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for 4 years to Aug. 1976.

– He was promoted to Assosiate Professor degree on Dec. 1978 and teached Pharmacognosy and Photochemistry meanwhile at Alexandria, Tanta, Zagazig University,On Sep. 1979. He moved to Faculty of Pharmacy Zagazig University to construct the Pharmacognosy Department as active Head on Nov. 1981. He travelled as Post-Graduate Scholarship to University of Connecticut, Connecticut, United States of America for Thabatical leaf for one year and got the Professor degree on Jan. 1983 since then he was the Head of Pharmacognosy Department as Vice-dean for graduate studies and research for 2 periods (6 years) and for students affairs for one period then for graduate studies for another period.

– On April 1988, he travelled to Tripoli, Libya to work at Faculty of Pharmacy,
El-Fateh University as Professor of Pharmacognosy and Vice-Dean for students affair up to Oct. 1990 and returned to Zagazig University up to 2011 to work at P.U.A.

Department of Microbiology and Immunology

Dr Hoda Ahmed El-Shamy is a Professor of Microbiology. She obtained her PhD in Microbiology from the University of Alexandria in 1984. Her working experience includes Head of Microbiology at the High Institute of Public Health, University of Alexandria, (2005–2008)This unique institute in the Middle East offers postgraduate degrees in the areas of Public Health.

She is the Head of Microbiology & Immunology at the Faculty of Pharmacy & Drug Manufacturing, Pharos University in Alexandria since 2010 to present. Her current research interests include infectious diseases and pharmaceutical and sanitary microbiology. Dr Hoda is currently a reviewer for the Bulletin of the High Institute of Public Health (Bull HIPH), the Journal of the Egyptian Public Health Association and the Journal of the Medical Research Institute.

She has 40 publications in the field of microbiology with special interest in medical and sanitary microbiology together with infection control and She is involved in teaching, supervising and community serving activities and has attended and participated in 31 conferences and workshops. She is also a member of International Society of Infectious Diseases (ISID), International federation of Infection Control (IFIC) andThe Egyptian Association of Public Health

Dr. Gihan El-Batouti is currently an Associate Professor (2016) in the Microbiology and Immunology Department in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Drug Manufacturing, Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) -Major: Microbiology and Immunology. She is currently undergoing research in various recent issues in the field of Microbiology and Immunology.

She attained her Doctor Degree (PhD) in Medical Microbiology in 2008 from the High Institute of Public Health, Alexandria University ; the title of the thesis was : A Diagnostic Workup Protocol for Urinary Tract Infection in Chronic Renal Failure, Haemodialysis and Renal Transplant Patients in Alexandria. She attained her Master Degree in Medical Microbiology in 2002 from the High Institute of Public Health, Alexandria University; the title of the thesis was : Indicators for Determination of the Bacteriological Quality of Bottled Water, Grade: Excellent. She attained her B.SC. Degree in Medicine and General Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University in 1990, and in 1984 she graduated high school from El-Nasr Girls College (EGC).

She began her working career in Gamal Abdel-Naser Health Insurance Hospital in Alexandria as a resident in the Histopathology Laboratory Department, from 1993-1997, during which she had completed the first part of The Master Degree in Histopathogy. Afterwards, she worked at Pharos International Lab in Alexandria as a Microbiology Specialist, for one year during which she had completed her Master Degree in Microbiology.

In 2004, she was hired as a Microbiology Specialist, in charge of the Microbiology Unit in the Laboratory of AL Salama Hospital, Azarita Branch in Alexandria. She was also appointed the Head of the hospital’s Infection Control Unit of which she had established in 2004.She was in charge of the Continuous Medical Education Training Activities in the Hospital, and has also prepared and delivered infection control training workshops for all hospital personnel; medical and non-medical.

In 2008, she was hired as a Lecturer of Microbiology in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Drug Manufacturing in PUA. In addition to her academic work, she works as the Director of the PUA Education Development Center (EDC) since its establishment in 2012. She not only manages the Center’s activities, but also delivers some of the continuous professional development workshops as Philosophy of Teaching, Interactive Modalities, Managing Lectures and Students Motivation and Feedback.

Since 2006, she has attended more than 40 conferences in the field of Microbiology and Infection Control, where she had participated with oral presentations in the majority of these conferences. She attended 11 workshops in the field of Microbiology and Education [Teaching and Learning Strategies]. She also has good experience in organizing conferences and workshops.

She is a member in several societies, namely the Egyptian Society of Infection Control [ESIC], the Arab Society of Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobials [ASIDA], the Alexandria Patient Safety Alliance [APSA] and NAKAA Association.

Dr Nevine lotfy louise is currently lecturer of microbiology and immunology dept of microbiology and immunology faculty of pharmacy and drug manufacturing.

Got PHD in pharmaceutical sciences ,pharmaceutical microbiology faculty of pharmacy Tanta university in 2011,on effect of combing dexpanthenol and antibiotics in treatment mixed burn infection and introducing a gel formulation that proved effective in treating post operative infection in rat models
