First Professional Training Forum

On Monday, November 6, 2023, the Alumni Committee organized the First Professional Training Forum from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The forum was attended by Prof. Mohamed Etman, the University’s Vice President of Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Sahar Hamouda, the Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation. They welcomed 102 students and graduates of the English Language Program, along with the representatives of the community parties and beneficiaries in various fields, such as translation, teaching and customer service. The beneficiaries commended the program’s graduates for their keenness to attend the forum and their continuous communication with the program. The workshops featured practical activities and interaction with the lecturers. In the opening session, Dr Silvia Elias, head of the Alumni Committee, presented the various activities of the committee in the past two years and the communication methods with the graduates. She also familiarized the audience with the workshops provided by the Career Development and Entrepreneurship Center as the center’s coordinator. Additionally, Prof. Sameh Alansary, Head of the Department of Phonetics and Linguistics in the Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, held a workshop sponsored by the Digital Transformation Committee titled “The Latest Technologies and Programs in the Translation Field.”
Certificates of Appreciation were given to speakers and Certificates of Attendance were given to students and graduates in the closing session.
