The Media Arts Department at the Faculty of Arts and Design organized a visit to the Shady Abdel Salam Museum at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina. This visit came within the requirements of Visual Storytelling (AV412) and Screenwriting (AV464) courses. The Shady Abdel Salam Museum contains many of the Artist’s paintings and sketches, as well as a number of cinematic snapshots taken from the films in which he participated or directed. The museum also includes some of his personal belongings, such as pieces of furniture for his office and private library.

 

Furthermore, the students visited the Museum’s “Afaq” Hall, where films directed by Shadi Abdel Salam are played daily, most of which are documentaries and educational films. In addition to some films in which he participated as a costume or décor clothing, most of which are historical films, as well as some talk shows made by the artist, and films and programs that tackle his life and works.
