The Impact of the Latest Interior Design Techniques in the Universities World Rankings

The Faculty of Arts and Design held a symposium entitled “The Impact of the Latest Interior Design Techniques in the Universities World Rankings” on Wednesday, 25 December 2019. The symposium was delivered by Ms. Aya Fathy, an assistant lecturer at the Décor Department where she showed some websites of a number of international universities which all capitalized on the latest technological techniques of interior design to improve the ranking of universities’ world rankings. Among these techniques was the use of virtual reality technique in depicting the university campus on its website. This was in addition to employing the holographic technology in the practical applications of the medicine and physical therapy students without using human cadavers. The symposium also highlighted the possibility of using interior design in establishing a planetarium in the campus to offer a kaleidoscope of scientific shows that cover a variety of scientific fields. The symposium also addressed in the symposium was how to use interior design in creating interactive maps for the campus facilities on the university website. The last point in the symposium was showing the wide range of potentials of the interactive techniques offered for the interior designer to develop the campus space and raise the university’s ranking in the Universities World Rankings.
