Within the framework of XCELING project towards excellence in applied linguistics funded by EU Erasmus+ Programme, a joint training course was organized between the faculty of Languages and Translation, PUA and Trinity College, Dublin on Zoom application. This training course entitled “Innovative Second Language Education in Egypt”. It was held on Tuesday, 19 January 2021. It is worth mentioning that this training course was managed under the auspices of Prof. Sahar Hamouda, the Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation, Ms. Rania Bassiouny, the International Relations Coordinator of the faculty and Ms. Panseh Emara.

This training course was delivered by:

  • Shadia El Soussi, a Lecturer of Applied Linguistics and Translation.
  • Heba Abd El Galil, the Director of Capital Company for Education Development.
  • Caroline Smith and Ms. Cathy Bennette, Lecturers from University of Dublin.

It is worth mentioning that a large number of attendees were from various Egyptian universities and English teachers.
