Scientific visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum

As part of the Faculty of Arts and Design’s interest in conducting field visits and scientific trips, the Graphic Department organized a scientific trip to the Grand Egyptian Museum. The Museum’s officials received the visiting students and took them on familiarization tours.

The tours started from the main foyer area, which is the visitor reception center, that includes the Museum’s key tourist attractions, including the Obelisk Square and the Pyramid Wall, which extends 600 meters wide and leads to the statue of King Ramses II.

After that, the students toured the museum’s garden, tourist walkway, and recreational area. These tours have helped to provide the students with a lot of information about the different Egyptian antiquities belonging to multiple eras.

Before the end of the visit, the director of the Museum’s official store presented two books with words of welcome and thanks for the visit. At the end, the students visited the Museum of Optical Illusions and enjoyed the different ways of illusion inside the museum.
