A delegation of the faculty of Mass Communication-Pharos University participated in a celebration held by Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) on Wednesday, the 18th of September 2019 to commemorate the Anniversary of Al-Ahram Newspaper. The delegation was comprised of Prof. Azza Othman, the Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication; Dr. Ragaa El Ghamrawy, the Head of the Radio and Television Production Department; Dr. Hamdy Ahmed, a Lecturer at the Journalism and Digital Publishing; Ms. Aya Turkey, a Demonstrator at the Radio and Television Production Department and Ms. Noha Youssef, a Demonstrator at the Journalism and Digital Publishing and Mr. Mohamed Mustafa, a Demonstrator at the Public Relations Department.
In this festive atmosphere, the delegation attended a seminar which was moderated by Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, the Director of the BA in celebration of this event. The seminar was attended by Dr. Abdelaziz Qanswa, the Governor of Alexandria and a number of prominent writers affiliated to Al-Ahram Newspaper including Mofid Fawzy, Mr. Alaa Thabet, the Editor-in Chief of Al-Ahram Newspaper and Mr. Abdel Mohsen Salama, the ‎Deputy Chairman of Al-Ahram Newspaper. The event also witnessed the participation of Mr. Makram Mohamed Ahmed, the Head of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation; Mr. Karam Gabr, the Head of the National Press Authority, Mr. Salah Montasser, Dr. Osama El Ghazaly Harb and Mr. Youssef Al-Qaid.
