Enhancing Quality in Preparation for Academic Accreditation
PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing organized a workshop titled “Course Coordinators and Quality Controllers: Cornerstones for Achieving Accreditation Standards,” as part of the faculty’s preparations for institutional and program accreditation. Assoc. Prof. Enas Masoud, Director of the Faculty’s Quality Assurance Unit, delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting the pivotal roles of course coordinators and quality officers in academic departments, emphasizing the need for integration between these roles to ensure the highest quality standards. The workshop also covered the internal audit mechanisms to be followed by the faculty’s review committee, including documentation evaluation steps and approved audit report templates.
The workshop witnessed strong attendance from faculty members and teaching assistants, who actively participated in the discussion session that addressed numerous inquiries and consultations regarding quality and accreditation requirements. Prof. Enas Masoud also stressed that this workshop represents a fundamental step in the faculty’s journey toward academic accreditation, noting that the unit will continue organizing a series of similar events to ensure academic and institutional excellence.
