PUA’s Engineering Dean Named Among World’s Top 1000 Scholars
In a major academic milestone adding to Pharos University in Alexandria’s track record of distinction, Prof. Dr. Ayman El-Sayed Ahmed El-Sayed Omyra, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, earned prestigious international recognition by being listed among the Top 1000 Scholars worldwide for 2026 by the Scholarly Index in two specialized research domains. The university officials, headed by the President and Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, extended their heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Omyra for this research achievement.
The classification by the Scholarly Index institution evaluated Dr. Ayman El-Sayed based on key scientific metrics. In the field of Security in Wireless Sensor Networks, he achieved 3rd place nationally in Egypt and ranked 880th globally across his Lifetime Impact Window, securing a research impact factor of 85.98 (top 8.6% worldwide statistically) and an H-Index of 27. Additionally, in Imbalanced Data Classification Techniques, Dr. Omyra ranked 12th nationally in Egypt and 817th internationally during the 2021–2025 Impact Window, recording a research impact factor of 59.27 (top 29.1% globally) and an H-Index of 15.
