Health Sciences’ Hosts an Orientation Day

PUA’s Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology held a comprehensive Orientation Day to welcome newly admitted students for the new academic year. The event aimed to create a supportive foundation for seamless integration into university life. The Dean of the Faculty welcomed the new cohort, emphasizing the pivotal role of higher education in shaping student character and developing technical and scientific competencies. He urged students to leverage the faculty’s advanced educational and training resources while demonstrating dedication toward academic and professional excellence.

During the gathering, faculty members outlined the core responsibilities of specialized faculty committees working in alignment to support student academic and extracurricular engagement. These include the Student Activities Committee, the Community Service Committee, the Field Training Center, the Special Needs Center, and the “Green Pharos” sustainability initiative. In addition, orientation featured interactive Q&A sessions where academic advisors addressed student queries regarding academic systems, course registration, and guidelines, providing clarity for their starting academic journey.

Hosting such events reflects the faculty’s strategy to extend complete support to incoming students, establishing an inspiring educational environment that blends academic theory with practical field training to prepare highly skilled healthcare technology professionals for the evolving job market.
