Green Pharos Joins Computer Science’s Orientation Day

Within the framework of its third environmental campaign, the “Green Pharos” Committee participated in the Faculty of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence’s Orientation Day, advancing PUA’s mission to establish a sustainable and eco-friendly campus environment. The participation focused on introducing new students to the committee’s environmental initiatives and encouraging their active involvement in activities that promote sustainability and environmental conservation across the university campus.

The Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, emphasized that fostering environmental awareness among students constitutes a core pillar in PUA’s strategy toward sustainability, highlighting students’ roles as active partners in achieving the goals of “Green Pharos.” On his part, the Dean of the Faculty affirmed the faculty’s commitment to instilling sustainable values in students, encouraging them to connect their academic disciplines with their societal and environmental responsibilities.

The committee’s participation reflects PUA’s initiative to engage students at the outset of their academic journey and solidify sustainable habits within the campus culture. This engagement reasserts the university’s commitment to environmental stewardship and to preparing a generation equipped to lead positive ecological change.
