THM Open Day

As a foundational step toward shaping promising professional future, PUA’s Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management (THM) launched its annual “THM Open Day.” The event brought together faculty leadership, academic staff, and representatives from the Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED) to introduce newly enrolled students to academic curricula, specialized majors, and prospective career pathways across the tourism and hospitality sectors.

The interactive orientation sessions provided students with comprehensive insights into field training requirements and modern operational competencies required by global hospitality and travel markets. CSED Representatives emphasized the event’s strategic importance in aligning higher education with societal needs and labor market dynamics, ensuring graduates are equipped with practical knowledge that elevates regional tourism standards.

This orientation initiative demonstrates PUA’s commitment to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). By bridging academic instruction with practical industry requirements, PUA continues to prepare highly skilled professionals ready to contribute meaningfully to national economic development.
