Recycling for Sustainable Artistic Innovation
Within the framework of its interest in spreading a culture of sustainability, PUA’s Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED) hosted a specialized workshop titled “Leveraging Resource Recycling in Developing Artworks for Sustainable Creativity”. This event is part of PUA’s strategy to support the transition toward eco-friendly practices and link art with contemporary issues.
The workshop aimed to highlight the mechanisms of repurposing consumed materials and transforming them into innovative artistic pieces that blend aesthetic value with practical function, contributing to consolidating the concept of a creative economy and reducing environmental waste. The sessions addressed modern recycling techniques in design fields, featuring inspiring applied models of artworks executed entirely from recycled materials.
CSED emphasized that these activities represent a fundamental pillar in its plan to promote sustainability concepts and link educational curricula with current environmental challenges. These efforts align with Egypt’s trends toward supporting a green economy and achieving sustainable development goals, seeking to prepare a generation of creators capable of formulating artistic solutions that preserve environmental resources and ensure their sustainability.
