PUA’s Mass Communication Wins Second Place for Short Films at 7th Shorouk Festival

Students of PUA’s Faculty of Mass Communication Arts, headed by Prof. Dr. Howaida Mostafa, Dean, won the second place award for short films at 7th Al-Shorouk Festival. This Festival is dedicated to graduation projects for students of media faculties, departments and institutes in various universities. The award was given for a short film called “Sayeda” which was a graduation project supervised by Dr. Tamer Sokar, Lecturer, Radio and Television Department, and Prof. Doaa Hegazy, Assistant Lecturer, Radio and Television Department. In addition, the winning students were given a free training opportunity at TEN channel.

Furthermore, the Dean, faculty members, and teaching assistants congratulated the students on their win, and praised their creativity.

44 universities participated in the festival, including 19 private Egyptian universities. The panel consisted of the renowned directors Ahmed Saqr, Shukri Abu Amira, Majdi Abu Amira. As well as journalist Suzan Hassan, journalist Mona Al-Husseini, writer Muhammad Al-Ghaity, along with a number of creators in various media and artistic fields.
