PUA’s Arts and Design Wins 2nd Place in Change Makers 2023
PUA pays close attention to spreading the culture of entrepreneurship, promoting innovation, and encouraging students amidst the economic competition to become entrepreneurs. Accordingly, the “FashFocus” team from PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design participated in the closing ceremony where the Change Makers Competition 2023 awards were distributed. The team secured the second place amidst fierce competition among Egyptian universities, and received a valuable money prize in appreciation of its efforts and achievements.
The event was held in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and His Excellency the Minister of Education and Technical Education. The Competition gathered innovators and geniuses from all over Egypt, to present distinctive innovations and projects in various fields.
It is also worth mentioning that FashFocus team qualified to the competition with the support of PUA’s Career Development and Entrepreneurship Center (CDEC), which provided the team with several training and guidance sessions, along with a workshop inside the Faculty building. Moreover, this participation testifies to how cautious the Faculty and university are about encouraging pioneering projects that seek to implement sustainable development goals, such as recycling and turning jeans scraps into fashionable high-quality garments.
