PUA Participates National Identity Conference
A high-level delegation from PUA participated in the conference titled “National Identity: Deep Roots and a Renewed Vision,” launched at Bibliotheca Alexandrina in collaboration with the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Youth and Sports, Culture, and the Governorate of Alexandria. The conference aims to address national identity and strategies for its preservation amid rapid global changes, emphasizing the role of educational, cultural, and media institutions in safeguarding Egyptian heritage.
The opening ceremony brought together government ministers, university presidents, cultural icons, and youth representatives. Participants emphasized that protecting national identity is a collective societal responsibility spanning families, schools, universities, and media outlets, underscoring the need to enhance digital literacy and critical thinking among youth. Discussions covered key topics including the role of education in human development, identity challenges in the digital age, heritage preservation, and youth empowerment.
Featuring contributions from three generations of researchers across 14 scientific papers, the conference analyzes identity dynamics and institutional policies. The event will culminate in the release of the “Alexandria Document for National Identity,” summarizing strategic recommendations to be implemented into practical initiatives.
