Mass Communication Concludes 2026 Graduation Project Defenses
PUA’s Faculty of Mass Communication concluded the graduation project defense sessions for the class of 2026. The event took place amidst a distinguished academic atmosphere, featuring wide participation from an elite group of senior academics, media executives, artists, and specialists across various communication sectors who enriched the sessions with their professional evaluations.
The evaluation and defense panels comprised high-profile scientific, media, and artistic figures, led by Dr. Hassan Imad Makkaw, Professor of Radio and Television and Former Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Cairo University, Prof. Dr. Sani Sherif, Dean of MTI’s Faculty of Mass Communication, Secretary-General of the Islamic Universities League, and Professor of Radio and Television at Cairo University. The event also featured Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Jawad, Dean of IAEMS’ Faculty of Mass Communication, and Professor of Media at the Faculty of Arts, Zagazig University, Dr. Nermin Ajwa, Associate Professor in the Department of Public Relations and Advertising at Cairo University, and Director of the Women and Media Research Center, Eng. Hossam Saleh, Chief Business Officer at the United Media Services (UMS) company, and Mr. Karim Abu El-Dahab, Senior Account Director at Tarek Nour Advertising Agency.
Furthermore, Mr. Sami Abdel Rady, Editor-in-Chief of Telegraph Egypt and Editor-in-Chief of Al-Nahar TV Network, Mr. Rushdi El-Daqan, Editorial Director of Rose al-Youssef and Content Development Consultant at Leo Media, were also present. In addition, Renowned Drama and Cinema Artists were present, namely, actress Manal Salama, actress Salwa Mohamed Ali, actress Hanan Suleiman, actor Mohsen Sabry, scriptwriter Mahmoud Hamdan, and the rising artist Michael Milad.
The defense sessions showcased a vibrant package of innovative media projects spanning integrated marketing campaigns, television and documentary production, and contemporary digital content creation. The presented outputs reflected the students’ high creative skills and their solid capacity to employ modern media tools and technologies professionally, keeping pace with rapid shifts in the media industry. The projects drew wide praise and high acclaim from the jury panels, who emphasized the outstanding academic and professional standard of Pharos University students, confirming their full readiness to enter the media market with efficiency and distinction.
