Exploring Career Path and Challenges

PUA’s Faculty of Dentistry hosted Dr. Shihab Sherif in a distinctive interactive meeting on how to be “different and distinguished the field of Dentistry,” and how each student can discover the correct career path tailored to their personal capabilities and professional aspirations. The event took place under the direct supervision of the Faculty’s Student Activities Department.

During the meeting, Dr. Shihab Sherif reviewed detailed aspects of a dentist’s life before and after graduation, illustrating the challenges and qualitative experiences students encounter during their academic years, and the radical transition into professional life upon entering the actual labor market. The speaker also analyzed the current reality of the dental labor market, highlighting the competitive skills required to achieve professional success and distinction amid modern advancements.

The seminar featured an extensive discussion on the scientific and personal criteria for choosing the right medical specialty based on individual aptitude and interest. It emphasized the necessity of continuous self-development and acquiring clinical skills that help dentists build strong, independent professional identities.
