Engineering’s Orientation Day
PUA’s Faculty of Engineering hosted its annual Orientation Day to welcome newly admitted students, featuring active participation from the faculty’s Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED). The event aimed to introduce future engineers to community development frameworks and volunteer opportunities. A member of the faculty’s Community Service Center delivered an informative address detailing the center’s operational goals and presenting key field initiatives that enable students to participate in community and environmental service projects.
The Vice-president for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs affirmed PUA’s commitment to instilling social responsibility in students from the beginning of their academic journey, providing platforms for engagement in initiatives that enhance their practical skills and civic consciousness. Furthermore, the Dean welcomed the incoming cohort, reaffirming the faculty’s dedication to offering a holistic educational environment and co-curricular programs that nurture well-rounded student personalities alongside academic excellence.
This orientation initiative reflects PUA’s strategy to bridge technical education with impactful community involvement, ensuring the graduation of highly qualified engineers equipped with professional expertise and strong civic engagement.
