An International Participation for PUA

The College of Dental Medicine, University of Sharjah hosted the Master’s thesis defense of resident physician Dr. Noura Ahmed Saleh Abdullah Al-Muaini, featuring prominent academic participation from Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA). Prof. Dr. Khaled Abul Azm joined the committee as an external examiner via Microsoft Teams. The thesis was titled: “Occlusal Relationships and Patient Comfort in Clear Aligners Compared to Pre-adjusted Fixed Appliances: A Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial”.

The examination committee, featured numerous international scholars with Prof. Dr. Khaled Abul Azm from PUA as an external examiner. The committee commended the researcher’s efforts and the study’s methodological quality, emphasizing the importance of the findings in advancing modern orthodontic practices. This participation underscores PUA’s commitment to international academic collaboration and the role of its faculty in enriching regional scientific research.
