As a culmination of the postgraduate programs offered by it, PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy has discussed a Master’s thesis in Pharmacology. The thesis presented was entitled “Evaluation of the therapeutic effect of some essential oils or their constituents on breast cancer induced in mice”. This dissertation was presented by Pharm. Asmaa Muhammad Shehata Youssef, at the Faculty’s conference.

 

The supervisory committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Mohy El-din, Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology, and PUA’s President, Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Mallah, Emeritus Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University. Along with Assoc. Prof. Samar El-Ganainy, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy.

 

The defense committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Mohy El-din, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Mallah, Prof. Dr. Safaa Al-Ruwaini, Professor of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, and Department’s Head, PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Hanan Muhammad Al-Juwaili, Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology, and Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University. The committee examined the thesis and decided to grant the researcher the master’s degree of pharmaceutical sciences in pharmacology.
