Engineering Continues its Field Training Qualification Week

In continuation of the purposeful and sustainable strategy that PUA’s Field Training Center (FTC) seeks to implement—which reflects positively on the quality of engineering education and applied training provided to its students—the activities of the second and third days of the “Field Training Qualification Week” commenced at the Faculty of Engineering for the 2025-2026 academic year. The interactive sessions witnessed broad participation and a distinguished presence of experts and representatives from eight major external entities and institutions across the energy, telecommunications, contracting, and logistics sectors, aiming to formulate an integrated roadmap integrating academic theories with direct professional reality.

The list of partner institutions managing the workshops and qualifying sessions included the Egyptian Petrochemicals Company, the Egyptian Ethylene and Derivatives Company (ETHYDCO), the Beheira Joint Stock Company, Beton Engineering and Contracting Company, alongside the Alexandria National Refining and Petrochemicals Company (ANRPC). The technology and logistical sectors recorded a prominent presence through the participation of Telecom Egypt (WE), the General Authority of Alexandria Port, and Rubex International for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing. This collaboration offered a rich discussion platform during which company engineers reviewed the latest technological systems, field operation mechanisms, and occupational safety standards applied within these production strongholds.

The activities of the second and third days aimed to provide the student body with leadership and innovation tools, introducing them to the technical and skill sets required to keep pace with the engineering labor market amidst accelerated digital transformation applications. The faculty administration emphasized that these collaborative forums serve as a core pillar to enhance and build students’ professional readiness prior to engaging in actual summer training on-site, ensuring the graduation of engineering cohorts possessing competitive advantages and direct expertise enabling them to lead national and industrial projects with efficiency and merit.
