Arts and Design Launches its Field Training Qualification Week
The initial activities of the Field Training Qualification Week commenced at PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design, for the 2025-2026 academic year. This initiative activates PUA’s steadfast commitment to providing an integrated educational and academic experience for its students, extending beyond theoretical frameworks into direct application. These strategic events aim to prepare the student body for a smooth and smart integration into the labor market, enhancing their academic and professional readiness while developing their practical skills, expressive tools, and technical capabilities across various fields of visual arts, interior architecture, and decoration.
The opening day featured a specialized and extensive lecture delivered by Prof. Dr. Shaimaa Khodeir, Director of the Faculty’s Field Training Unit. During the session, she analyzed the training guidelines and introduced students to the regulatory framework and professional standards essential for maximizing benefits from field workshops. The opening presentation focused on linking artistic sense with the logistical and engineering requirements of projects, raising students’ awareness regarding innovative materials and environmental sustainability techniques in contemporary design.
The qualification week will sustain its intensive activities over the coming days through the hosting and broad participation of various external entities, institutions, and industrial partners in the labor market to deliver interactive workshops merging smart technology with human expertise. This step ensures the graduation of cohorts of designers and artists possessing highly competitive advantages, enabling them to meet the expectations of production institutions and lead creative development projects locally and internationally with confidence and merit.
