Pharmacy’s 5th International Scientific Conference
PUA’s Grand Hall hosted the 5th International Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Pharmacy, titled: “Interprofessional Pharmacy Practice for Safe Drug Use and Patient Well-being.” The conference commenced with opening remarks from PUA’s President and the Faculty Dean, emphasizing PUA’s leadership in adopting modern clinical pharmacy trends and the necessity of collaborative efforts among healthcare providers to ensure patient quality of life.
The sessions featured interactive lectures by elite experts, focusing on integrating technology and Artificial Intelligence to enhance pharmacy practice. The participation of a Malaysian delegation lent an international dimension to the discussions, opening new horizons for cross-border research collaboration. Notable academic leaders attended the event, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University, and the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Damanhur University, reflecting the unity between Egyptian pharmacy faculties.
The event witnessed high engagement from third, fourth, and fifth-year students, along with interns, who contributed to vital discussions regarding the future of the profession. The conference concluded by establishing a roadmap to transform theoretical visions into applicable practices, reaffirming that effective communication remains the cornerstone of patient safety and community wellbeing.
