Visiting the Central Bank in the New Administrative Capital
The Architectural Engineering Department at PUA’s Faculty of Engineering, organized an extensive field visit for fourth-year students (8th semester) to the Central Bank of Egypt headquarters located in the Financial and Business District of the New Administrative Capital. This initiative activates PUA’s strategy of bridging theoretical curricula with practical applications, and falls within the requirements of the Execution Design 4 course. The Central Bank headquarters stands as one of the largest and most significant sovereign and construction projects in the New Capital.
The student delegation was received by the project’s Executive Director along with a team of specialized engineers from various disciplines, who provided students with a comprehensive overview of the project’s scale and core architectural components during an inspection tour inside the building. In the field, students explored the execution and installation mechanisms of artistic works and specialized finishes. They also learned about modern, smart systems used in distributing and installing electrical networks, HVAC, and firefighting systems across various spaces, while studying how to achieve engineering coordination and integration among these complex systems in mega-structures.
