Transferring AI Expertise though an Interactive Session
PUA’s Community Service Center, in cooperation with the Alumni Committee at the Faculty of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, held a virtual technical dialogue with Eng. Youssef Bastawisy, a faculty alumnus and remote AI applications engineer. This event activates PUA’s strategy aimed at strengthening continuous communication with its alumni and linking students with direct practical experience and the tech labor market.
The meeting featured a comprehensive presentation of the alumnus’s professional journey, highlighting the core programming and analytical skills required in computer science and artificial intelligence (AI). Eng. Youssef Bastawisy addressed the technical and practical challenges he encountered during his career, and how he refined his skills and tools to keep pace with the rapidly shifting dynamics of the technology market.
The session included an open interactive discussion with students regarding the centrality of continuous learning and acquiring practical experience during their academic years, emphasizing the importance of drawing inspiration from alumni’s real-world journeys to build students’ career paths. The Center reaffirmed the value of organizing these periodic meetings, which directly contribute to transferring live knowledge to the student body, strengthening the connection between academic curricula and actual applications in the global software market.
