In the framework of cooperation between PUA and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology “ASRT”, a delegation from “ASRT” visited the Faculty of Engineering on Wednesday 16 September 2020. It is worth mentioning that this cooperation aims to develop, support and disseminate the concept of self-employment, entrepreneurship and innovation in line with Egypt’s vision. The delegation included Dr. Wafaa Mohamed Abd El Rashid, the CEO of Technology Innovation Commercialization Offices (TICO) and the Entrepreneurship Clubs and Eng. Marwa Mohamed, the CEO of the Technology Transfer Office. During the visit, Dr. Alaa Khalil, the Executive Manager of the Entrepreneurship Club and a Lecturer in the Basic Engineering Sciences Department presented the presented the establishments of the club and the activities of different committees in raising the awareness through training camps and regular meetings with a group of experts in the field of entrepreneurship. He also explained the future plan for cooperation with “ASRT” through training, partnerships, initiatives and competitions. In addition to that they discussed the “ASRT” support for a training program for graduation projects which qualifies graduates for entrepreneurship, promotes their projects and supports them financially. At the end of the visit, the delegation visited the Innovation Club at the Faculty of Engineering and showed support for innovators as long as the innovation is based on a scientific system, through multiple programs to support creative energies.
