Specialized Workshop on Concept Art

PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design hosted a specialized workshop on “Concept Art”. Held under the supervision of PUA’s Student Activities Department, the workshop aimed to equip students with practical expertise and modern artistic skills required in the contemporary creative market.

Dr. Aya Attia delivered a comprehensive explanation of concept art as one of the most vital artistic fields driving the film, animation, and video game industries. Dr. Attia outlined the concept of Concept Art and its foundational role in translating abstract ideas and imagination into visual concepts, tracing the creative process from initial ideation and character/environment design to constructing the full visual identity of an artistic project.

Furthermore, the session highlighted the essential roles of imagination and innovation in concept art, focusing on the artist’s ability to craft visual narratives that reflect core themes with a distinct character while exploring the professional opportunities this discipline offers in the creative job market. The Faculty continues to deliver modern artistic education and develop student potential, preparing a new generation of creators capable of meeting industry demands and turning creative ideas into innovative artistic works.
