Recognizing Computer Science’s Outstanding Students

Driven by the belief at Pharos University in Alexandria that investing in student excellence represents an investment in their future and that of society, the Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED) continuously supports outstanding student role models, recognizing their academic endeavors and motivating their ongoing success to prepare a generation equipped with knowledge and the capacity for active participation in university and civic life. Within this framework, the Community Service and Environmental Development Center organized a ceremony honoring distinguished students at the Faculty of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence in recognition of their academic excellence and superior educational attainment.

This honoring forms part of PUA’s Excellence Course System, which designates a distinguished academic course in each faculty per semester based on specialized committee selections, officially recognizing ten students per faculty who achieve grades of A or A+ in the specified course. This mechanism aims to cultivate positive competition among students while encouraging them to enhance their academic performance and pursue higher levels of distinction.

The initiative’s objectives extend beyond celebrating academic scores, aspiring to discover promising student potential and track its development to qualify students for participation in campus and community opportunities aligned with their skills and interests, building a well-rounded personality that unifies scientific excellence, initiative, and social responsibility. Through this initiative, CSED reaffirms PUA’s commitment to delivering a stimulating environment for creativity and achievement, instilling the value of diligence, and transforming academic excellence into a launchpad for broader accomplishments that benefit both the university and the wider community.
