Recycling Waste to Innovative Products
The Architectural Engineering Department at PUA’s Faculty of Engineering, held its second student activity titled “Recycled Materials.” The event aimed to provide recreation for students while fostering a spirit of participation and teamwork outside the traditional academic framework. The activity witnessed fruitful interaction and outstanding harmony between students, faculty members, and teaching assistants in the Department’s hallways.
Students utilized their design skills to repurpose printing rollers and surplus compressed wood panels (MDF) from the printing center, transforming them into an innovative, engineered seating unit to be used as functional furniture within the Department. This activity brought immense joy and pride to the students, highlighting their ability to adapt simple materials and practically apply environmental sustainability concepts to enhance their educational environment.
