PUA’s Faculty of Engineering pays great attention to qualifying its graduates for the labor market. This is done through providing the skills that enable them to compete in the labor market, obtain decent job opportunities, and achieve successes in their careers. Accordingly, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Melegy, Dean of PUA’s Faculty of Engineering hosted Eng. Iman El-Bendary, Director of the Alexandria Branch of the Information Technology Institute (ITI), which is affiliated to the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and Eng. Mahmoud Aouf, ITI’s Director of Training.

 

The meeting included discussion of many topics, which included cooperation between the Faculty and the institute in the field of qualifying graduates for the labor market. As well as providing top-notch specialized training programs for a number of graduates to obtain distinguished job opportunities. The two parties also studied the possibility of ITI’s participating in supervising students’ graduation projects, providing summer and winter training opportunities for the Faculty students, participating in teaching some relevant courses and employment forums organized by the Faculty.

 

Moreover, further cooperate with the Faculty in developing some practical courses in line with the labor market was discussed. This meeting comes in light of the Faculty’s administration’s interest in providing its graduates with skills and capabilities that meet the requirements of the labor market.
