PUA’s Architectural Engineering Collaborates with TU Delft
PUA’s Architectural Engineering Department participated in a scientific program and field visit to the renowned Department of Architecture at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in the Netherlands, ranked among the top three architecture programs globally and one of the world’s most competitive. The participation took place under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ramadan Abdel-Maqsoud, Academic Supervisor of PUA’s Architecture Department, reflecting a firm belief in the value of international cooperation and knowledge exchange with prestigious global institutions.
A team of department students engaged in an intensive workshop titled “Decision-Making on Future Public Spaces,” which was divided into two main parts. The first featured a field visit to a site affiliated with the Architecture Institute in Rotterdam, alongside tours of several architecturally distinguished buildings. The second part included a series of scientific lectures followed by presentations of the students’ proposals. The workshop focused on integrating behavioral, social, and spatial dimensions to ensure that engineering solutions effectively respond to user needs and contemporary urban challenges. The event concluded with students presenting innovative group proposals for redesigning public spaces, which were backed by insightful critical discussions and international expert feedback.
