During the visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus to Egypt, Pharos University signed a cooperation agreement with Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics “BSUIR” in the field computer sciences and artificial intelligence. This was held on Tuesday, 20 February 2020.
BSUIR is one of the leading universities in this field and internationally classified according to the world university rankings Quacquarelli Symonds “QS”. Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) is a British company specialising in education. It is worth mentioning that Prof. Mahmoud Mohy El-Din, the President of Pharos University expressed his happiness with this cooperation which comes in conjunction with the 2030 strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the establishment of the faculty of Computer Sciences and Artificial Intelligence in Pharos University. The aim of establishing this faculty is to meet the needs of labor market at the local, regional and international levels.
In addition, Prof. Vadim Bogush, the Rector of Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics “BSUIR” stated that Pharos University is the first and only academic partner to his university among all Egyptian universities. He is also looking forward to a fruitful cooperation between the two universities in the field of higher education, scientific research and field training.
