Pharos University Hosts Delegation from Ireland’s TU Dublin to Strengthen Academic Exchange

Within the framework of its strategy to strengthen international academic partnerships, and building on the continued success of the Dual Degree Program between Pharos University’s College of Business and Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin) in Ireland, the College of Dentistry received a high-level academic delegation from the Irish university to discuss expanding areas of joint academic and professional cooperation.

The meeting saw a notable academic presence. The Pharos University College of Dentistry delegation included Prof. Amr Abdullah, Dean of the College; Prof. Laila El-Habashy, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Nancy Badawany, the College’s Coordinator for the International Relations Committee; and Teaching Assistant Omar Hammam, Rapporteur of the International Relations Committee.

The TU Dublin delegation was headed by Dr. Etain Kidney, Director & Dean, Faculty of Business, and Dr. Colin Hughes, Head of the Graduate Business School. The delegation was accompanied during the visit by Dr. Mayssa El-Mofty, International Relations Coordinator at Pharos University’s College of Business.

The program included a comprehensive tour of the College of Dentistry, during which the delegation visited the specialized clinics and laboratories and saw firsthand the advanced infrastructure and leading educational and training facilities the College provides to its students. Both sides also reviewed ways to strengthen academic relations and explored opportunities for building future partnerships with other Irish educational institutions and universities, opening new horizons for research and academic exchange in the field of dentistry.

On the sidelines of the visit, the College of Dentistry’s leadership took part in the ceremony honoring the graduates of Pharos University’s College of Business, held in the presence of Prof. Mahmoud Mohamed Mohie El-Din, President of the University, and the University’s Vice Presidents, along with His Excellency the Ambassador of Ireland, His Excellency the Ambassador of Sweden, the TU Dublin academic delegation, and a select group of faculty members and distinguished guests.

This visit reaffirms the College of Dentistry’s commitment to strengthening its international presence, consolidating its strategic academic partnerships, and expanding its international cooperation network, contributing to improving the quality of education and scientific research and supporting the exchange of expertise at the global level.
