A team of students from the Mechanical Engineering Department at PUA’s Faculty of Engineering designed a structure for a CubeSat from a composite material with advanced properties. The students also performed all the necessary tests to make it space-deployable.

More than 20 teams from all over the country participated in the EgSA’s Space Startup Hub. The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT), the funding partner for this project, announced that the Cosmocubes Team won the funding provided by the ASRT to start a small space company.

This company will specialize in the design and manufacture of CubeSat parts. It will also provide the postgraduate students and graduates interested in space technology with the necessary parts to build CubeSats.
