Mechanical Department’s Scientific Day

The Mechanical Engineering Department at PUA’s Faculty of Engineering, celebrated its Annual Scientific Day, aimed at fostering innovation and developing students’ practical skills, with broad participation from faculty members and researchers. During the event, students showcased a package of projects and innovations executed throughout the academic year across various mechanical and engineering fields, presenting outstanding models and ideas that reflected their academic knowledge and practical expertise.

The displayed projects varied between modern mechanical designs, operating and digital control systems, renewable energy and manufacturing projects, alongside engineering innovations designed to serve society and keep pace with technological evolution. A committee of professors and specialists evaluated the models according to strict scientific criteria, including originality, innovation, execution accuracy, practical feasibility, as well as students’ presentation skills. Faculty members emphasized the centrality of these activities in honing teamwork and linking education with practical application to prepare engineers capable of competing in the labor market. The event concluded with honoring the outstanding projects amid an atmosphere of pride and celebration of the students’ scientific achievements.
